Are you bored of the doing the same old typical late holidays? It’s always good to get a bit of variety, so why not take the family to Strasbourg. The city is undeniably good looking and enviably positioned – the compact centre is perched on a small island surrounded by the Rhine and a canal. Wander off into the streets and you’ll find a maze of brightly coloured houses and plenty to interest culture lovers, with a host of fine museums and art galleries.
You’ll find that the food in Strasbourg is particulalry incedible. With both French and German influences, the food here is mindblowing. Here too are exquisite white wines and well-made local beer, while the surrounding area offers gorgeous villages and vineyards apt for exploring by bicycle or car.
The race in Spain takes place between the 20 – 23rd Octoer in Costa Daurada. The Costa Daurada is the best spot for cheap package holidays to enjoy a rally race while taking in a little sun and sea at the same time. The region has plenty of picturesque beaches and the race is based at the popular resort of Salou. This lively place is a great choice for a beach-based family holiday, but should a dose of culture be required the cities of Barcelona and Tarragona are placed handily close by.
